Buyers in 2010 are finding that Black Friday is starting prior to when a year ago. Many retailers are now actually starting their doorways and rolling out discounts Thanksgiving evening in the place of Friday morning, some as soon as 8 p.m. Below is a summary of when shops and malls will start the shopping extravaganza:

JCPenney: 6 a.m. Friday

Radio Shack: 6 a.m. Friday

The Grove: 8 a.m. Friday

Citadel Outlets: 9 p.m Thanksgiving Day

Westfield Culver City: Mall common areas open at 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Day; most shops open at nighttime

Camarillo Premium Outlets: midnight; some shops will start at 9 p.m. Thanksgiving Day

Irvine Spectrum: midnight

The Outlets at Orange: midnight

Westfield Santa Anita: midnight

Westfield Topanga: very first stores available at midnight, with additional to check out early Friday

Glendale Galleria: 5 a.m. Friday (some stores will open previously)

Americana at Brand: 7 a.m. Friday

Westfield Century City: 8 a.m. Friday (some stores will start early in the day)
